Melges 20s from as far as Brazil, Canada, and Italy scouted light air at the edge of a cold front in Miami waiting for the Winter Series to begin. When it did (2 days later), the conditions were perfect. Portobello finished 9th overall out of 45 boats, just weeks before the World Championships.
